American magazine Fortune has added 2 Indians to its annual list of 40 influential people (under 40) under 40 in the business sector.
Fortune’s 2019 list of 40 influential people within 40 years features Intel’s Vice President (Artificial Intelligence Software and AI Lab), Arjun Bansal, and Ankiti Bose, CEO and co-founder of the fashion platform Jilingo.
The report states that 35-year-old Bansal’s team consists of about 100 employees spread across the US, Israel, and Poland. These partners of theirs constantly work on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and help Intel’s Silicon chip work better with the latest AI software.
An important AI project of Intel is the specialized computer chip developed by Nirvana. Bansal was the co-founder of the Nirvana startup. Intel acquired it in 2016 for 2500 crores.
The 27-year-old Bose started a Singapore-based startup 4 years ago. He started this startup after visiting Bangkok’s Chatuchak market and found that the merchants here had no means of selling goods online. Bose’s startup today has 600 employees in 8 countries. The value of his company is around $ 97 million.
