Fred Vasseur was calm after reviews instructed Charles Leclerc had met with Ferrari chairman John Elkann after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

There had been reviews that the Monegasque driver had requested a gathering with Elkann after being pressured to retire whereas positioned in third in Sakhi resulting from an engine concern, with Italian outlet Gazetta dello Sport reporting Leclerc was “evidently worried” in regards to the workforce’s reliability.

His teammate Carlos Sainz completed in fourth, whereas final season’s major rivals Red Bull dominated the race with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez taking first and second place.

“We spoke with the drivers, Elkann and Vigna after winter testing, and we will all speak again together after Imola”, he mentioned. “These meetings are planned.”

Vasseur added that as workforce principal at Ferrari he has “resources and decision-making power that I have never had anywhere else.”

Nevertheless, Ferrari will probably be trying to enhance on final week’s end result on Sunday in Jeddah, hoping to take care of the boldness of Leclerc after a disappointing begin.
