Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have addressed rumours surrounding alleged rifts inside the Italian crew.
Since Leclerc’s retirement within the Bahrain Grand Prix final week, stories have been filtering out of Italian media claiming that the Monegasque driver held a gathering with Ferrari president John Elkann so as to focus on the course of the crew.
More rumours circulated following the lack of the crew’s head of car idea, David Sanchez. It was reported that race director Laurent Mekies might go away the crew following a disagreement with Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.
Both drivers denied any rumours of discontent, with Leclerc additionally saying that rumours of his assembly with Elkann weren’t true.
“There have been loads of rumours around the team, 90% of them were completely unfounded”, he stated.
“I don’t know where it’s coming from. We just need to be on it and [be] focused on ourselves”, he added.

Both drivers shall be seeking to enhance on final week’s performances, however Leclerc might battle after receiving a ten-place grid penalty earlier this week.
