Uzbek commerce affiliation eyes boosting exports to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. Uzbekistan’s
Uzcharmsanoat plans to extend its exports of leather-based, footwear,
and fur merchandise to Azerbaijan, Fakhriddin Boboev, Chairman of the
Uzcharmsanoat affiliation, informed Trend.

According to Boboev, Uzbek enterprises, comparable to Sanfa Leather
LLC, Ravon Taraqqiyot Orzusi LLC, Poyafzal Servis Urgut LLC,
Mekhovaya Moda LLC, and others, exported leather-based, footwear, and fur
merchandise value $94,600 to Azerbaijan in January 2022.

He added that, in whole, Uzbekistan plans to extend the worth
of leather-based, footwear, and fur merchandise exports as much as $500,000 in
2023.

“At the second, work is underway to extend the export of
leather-based and footwear merchandise manufactured in our nation to
Azerbaijan. In explicit, common contacts have been established
with massive enterprises of Azerbaijan to make sure their participation
in worldwide exhibitions held in Uzbekistan,” he famous.

Boboev emphasised that this yr, Uzbekistan considers
implementing 175 funding initiatives for the creation of latest
enterprises in 2023, in addition to attracting $420 million of
investments throughout the framework of modernization applications of
current capacities.

“As a results of the implementation of this system for this yr,
a further 230 million sq. decimeters of leather-based, 30.4
million pairs of sneakers, 813,000 models of leather-based items, 30 sq.
meters of synthetic leather-based and equipment shall be produced in
the nation, 4,500 tons of wool, in addition to import-substituting
merchandise, comparable to glue, shall be produced in Uzbekistan,” he
added.
