5 lakh rupees will be given as prizes to those who show better ideas for 100 percent utilization of waste material coming out of power plants. For this, a competition has been announced by the NTPC. In which prize money of 12 lakh rupees will be distributed. The purpose of this competition is to make people aware of the environment and their ideas should be utilized properly.
The last date to participate in the competition is May 19, 2021. In this, the participants will have to make suggestions about the right use of the West Marial emanating from the environment while saving electricity. Those who tell the best ideas from the panel will be given the award. 5 lakh rupees will be given to the first prize recipient.
Through the competition, NTPC is encouraging both its employees and the general public to contribute their ideas towards conservation of environment. During the generation of electricity, there is a lot of damage to the environment due to the ash emanating from burning coal. It has been a matter of concern from the very beginning. In such a situation, NTPC has organized this competition to find a solution.
Coal ash is being used in this way
According to NTPC, the ash produced in the electricity produced at their stations is used in the manufacture of cement, concrete, concrete products, cellular concrete products, bricks / wood etc. In order to make dry fly ash easily available to the users, attention has been paid to its extraction and installation of safe storage system.
Electricity is generated in 70 power stations
NTPC group has 70 power stations, including 26 renewable projects. The group has a capacity of 18 GW under construction, including 5 GW of renewable energy projects. They generate power with a total capacity of about 65,825 MW.
