Private sector steel company Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 292.61 crore in the March quarter. On Friday, JSL informed the BSE that the company had a net loss of Rs 66.20 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. On an annual basis, it has increased by about 450 percent.
The company’s total income in the January-March 2021 quarter increased to Rs 3,926.30 crore from Rs 3,107.34 crore in the same quarter last year. At the same time, the total expenditure during this period was Rs 3,564.82 crore as compared to Rs 3,124.13 crore. Jindal Stainless managing director Abhyudaya Jindal said in a statement, “Despite the challenges posed by the epidemic, our prudent business strategy throughout the year has helped JSL to perform strongly.
Continued demand in different sectors in the domestic market in the fourth quarter helped to boost sales and revenue. The company’s sales spiked as demand returned.
217 percent return in a year

The company’s market cap is 4453 crore rupees. Within a month, the company has given 26 per cent in the stock, 24 per cent in three months and 217 per cent in a year.
Promoter’s stake 68 percent
The promoter holds 68.12 per cent stake in this company. Talking about Pearce, JSW Steel has given 303 per cent in a year, Tata Steel has given 321 per cent, Hindalco 226 per cent and NMDC has given 156 per cent.
