At this time most banks have limited their working hours from 10 am to 2 pm.

Appeal to take advantage of door step banking service.

Corona cases are at a peak in the country. About 3 lakh cases are being reported on a daily basis. In view of the present circumstances, banks have decided to reduce their working hours. In this difficult time, bank employees are constantly engaged in serving people by playing on their lives. In such a situation, in order to save the life of their employees, apart from government banks, private sector banks have also taken this decision.

At this time most banks have limited their working hours from 10 am to 2 pm. Keeping in mind that people do not have any kind of trouble, banks are mainly doing the work of cash deposits and withdrawals. Apart from this, government work and remittance service is also continuing. In the directive issued to the banks by the Indian Banks Association, an appeal has been made to promote the door step banking service. Under this service, the bank comes to your home and serves you.

Now, as per SLBC instructions, branch is functioning for rendering customer services from 10 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Currently, due to covid-19 pandemic, we are rendering following services:https://t.co/zHhBxYeHjj Deposits/Withdrawal

On Twitter, a user asked State Bank of India to start an online service to link DBT account. On this, it was replied by SBI that under the SLBC instruction, the branches of the bank are functioning from 10 am to 2 pm at this time. Only four services continue in the bank’s branch at this time. This includes cash deposit, withdrawal, check deposit, draft / RTGS / NEFT and government challan service.

Now these 4 works will be done in banks

According to the information given on Twitter by SBI, the bank now has only 4 jobs.

(1) Cash deposit and withdrawal

(2) Check related work

(3) Work connected with DD ie Demand Draft / RTGS / NEFT

(4) Government Challan

This rule is applicable till May 31 in Bihar

The bank branches functioning inside Bihar will be functioning till May 31st, till two o’clock in the afternoon. Banks in Bihar have taken this decision because the state government has extended the lockdown period till May 31. This timing will be applicable in all government and private bank branches including SBI, Canara Bank, PNB, HDFC Bank.

Directive issued by SLBC

Due to Corona, lockdown has not been imposed in the entire country this time. However, local lockdowns are being implemented at the state level and local level keeping in view the situation from the administration side. In such a situation, the Managing Committee of the IBA has issued a directive to the State Level Bankers Committee, ie SLBC, that they can make the necessary changes in the SOP keeping in mind the local conditions.

Instructions to call a bank on a rotational basis

According to the SOP, the bank can call its employees to the office on a rotational basis. Apart from this, they can also work from home if needed. Apart from this, banks can also continue to operate on a rotational basis with 50 percent employees. Apart from this, an appeal has also been made to the bank employees to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

600 bank employees have lost their lives

Last year, about 600 bankers died due to Corona. In such a situation, when the new wave of Corona came this year, the bank union had appealed to issue an updated SOP regarding the work. The IBA found in its report that the death ratio is very high in the banking sector. SLBC Conveyor Bank of Maharashtra has asked its member banks to carry forward the operation with only 15 per cent attendance.
