The fall in crude oil indicates that domestic oil companies can cut petrol and diesel even further. Brent crude oil is currently priced at $ 62.74 per barrel. It had recently crossed $ 70 a barrel. Apart from this, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude has come down to $ 60.73 per barrel.

Price can be reduced by up to 2 rupees per liter

There have also been claims in media reports that if a similar decline in crude oil prices continues in the coming days, then petrol-diesel price should be reduced by Rs 2 per liter in the next few days.   • Mumbai (Mumbai Diesel Price Today): Rs 88.20 per liter
  • Kolkata Diesel Price Today: Rs 83.98 per liter
  • Chennai (Chennai Diesel Price Today): Rs 86.10 per liter
  • Noida (Diesel Price Today): Rs 81.56 per liter

How expensive petrol-diesel has become in the last one year?

On Wednesday, petrol-diesel prices were reduced for the first time this year. In the last one year, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 21.58 per liter. Whereas, during this time the price of diesel has increased by Rs 19.18 per liter. In February, petrol prices in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra reached a record Rs 100 per liter. However, after VAT was reduced by the states, they came down by three points.
