A day after the AIADMK filed a case regarding Raja’s alleged remarks, Palaniswami criticized the indecent language of the leader of the opposition party. He said, ‘You think, if such people come to power then what kind of situation our women and mothers will have to face’.

The city police has registered a case against DMK MP A Raja on the complaint of the ruling AIADMK for allegedly making lewd remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami. Commissioner of Greater Chennai Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal said that a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint made to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). He said that this complaint was sent to the police. Aggarwal said that the case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and Representation of the People Act.
