Airline SpiceJet will give up to 30 percent discount on its basic fare to healthcare professionals working for India against the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline said that while booking from where healthcare personnel work, “passengers are required to submit a valid ‘healthcare professional ID’ or registration number as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI), State Medical Council”. Or issued by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or a healthcare organization approved by the government.
Passengers are also required to provide the ID used for booking along with a government-issued photo ID at the time of check-in or boarding as proof of their identity.
If you do not have a valid ID, you have to pay the full fare
The airline said that if anyone fails to produce a valid identity card during boarding, the passenger will have to pay the normal fare. This offer is made available only for health workers and their friends, family and relatives will not get the benefit.
This offer of SpiceJet has come in view of the continuous fight of health workers against the COVID-19 epidemic. Thousands of doctors, nurses and paramedics have lost their lives so far in saving the lives of others during Corona.
