State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to change the service charges on ATMs, cash withdrawals, check books etc. These changes will apply to Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) accounts. The new charges will be levied from 1 July 2021. So, how much will you have to pay on which service, know the complete detail.
ATM Cash Withdrawal
If you withdraw cash from SBI ATM, you will get four free cash withdrawals. If you withdraw more cash than this, whether it is from an ATM of a bank branch or from another bank’s ATM, it will have to pay Rs 15 plus GST per transaction.
SBI BSBD account holders are given a 10-page checkbook in a financial year. After that, if you take a 10-page checkbook, then for that 40 rupees plus GST will be charged. If you take a check book of 25 pages, then 75 rupees plus GST will be charged. For emergency check book, 10 leaves or more will be charged 50 rupees and GST. However, senior citizens are exempted from the new service fee on the check book. Apart from this, there will be no charge for non-financial transactions by BSBD account holders in SBI and non-SBI bank branches.
Changes in interest rates were also done
It is known that SBI had changed the home loan interest rates earlier this month. He reduced the interest rate to 6.70%. It will be taken on a loan of up to 30 lakh rupees. At the same time, 6.95% interest will be charged on loans up to Rs. 75 lakhs over 30 lakhs. At the same time, interest will be charged at the rate of 7.05% for taking loans above 75 lakhs.
