Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has given his support to Bharat Bandh and said that ‘Satyagraha’ is the way to oppose these laws. They hope that this protest will be peaceful. On Friday, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “The history of India is a witness that Satyagraha only ends injustice, arrogance and tyranny.” The movement should be peaceful in the interest of the country. “

4 months of protest are nearing completion

Meanwhile, hundreds of farmers also closed the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur border under a 12-hour Bharat bandh on Friday, on completion of 4 months of ongoing protests over 3 controversial agricultural laws. Farmers have also closed National Highway 24 connecting Delhi to Ghaziabad. The farmers are sitting on the highway demanding the repeal of all three agricultural laws.

Delhi Traffic Police has said in a tweet, “Traffic on Ghazipur border NH-24 is closed, please avoid coming from here.” The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) said on Thursday that all shops, malls, markets and commercial establishments will remain closed on Friday due to its ‘Bharat Bandh’ call. The 12-hour shutdown will run from 6 am to 6 pm. However, ambulances and other essential services will not be affected during this period. Many representatives of various farmers ‘organizations, trade unions, student groups, lawyers’ associations, political parties and state governments are supporting this Bharat Bandh done by MKM.
