Wife also supported
His wife Naina also gave equal support in this decision of leaving householder life to become a monk. Both of them took initiation in Mumbai last week according to Jainism. Now both of them will wear plain clothes and will live on the food they receive in alms. It is said that Prakash Shah wanted to take initiation earlier, but his plan was deferred for a year due to the crying crisis.

Prakash Shah spent nearly a decade in Reliance. Career He held many important posts. He was instrumental in the commissioning of Reliance’s Jamnagar Petcoke gasification project. Prakash graduated from Chemical Engineering and Post Graduate from IIT Bombay about 40 years ago. His wife Naina is a graduate in commerce.
Son has also retired
Before Prakash Shah, one of his sons has also taken initiation seven years ago, who is an engineering graduate from IIT Bombay. He also has a second son. He is currently living at home and has a child.
