BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 2. At at the moment’s
assembly of the OSCE Permanent Council, the difficulty of a terrorist
assault on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran was raised, Ambassador of
Azerbaijan to Austria, Slovakia and Slovenia, Permanent
Representative to the OSCE and different International Organizations in
Vienna Rovshan Sadigbayli tweeted, Trend reviews.
He famous that 52 delegations to OSCE joined Azerbaijan in
condemning this assault, expressing condolences to the sufferer’s
household, and calling for a swift investigation.
An armed assault befell on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran
on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 (GMT+4). The gunman turned out
to be a person in his 50’s, who drove as much as the executive
constructing, armed with a Kalashnikov computerized rifle.
Earlier reviews from the Chief of Tehran police stated there have been
two youngsters within the automobile with the gunman, the safety digicam footage launched later proved the
man was alone. He entered the constructing after briefly waving hand to
the Iranian safety guard exterior. No makes an attempt have been made to detain
the gunman, as he freely entered the embassy. The man managed to
kill head of the safety service and wounding two embassy guards.
The shooter was ultimately detained. The incident is at the moment
being investigated.
Following the lethal assault, Azerbaijan evacuated its officers
from the embassy, together with those that suffered because of the
assault and utterly suspended the work of the embassy in
Tehran.
