According to CNBC report, Facial Recognition facility is being started at four major airports of the country very soon. After the introduction of this facility, your face will be your boarding pass. The four airports identified have been Varanasi, Kolkata, Vijayawada and Pune Airport, PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency. For the first time in India, this technology will be used at these airports.
Facility will start in Varanasi within a month
According to the report, firstly Facial Recognition will be started on Varanasi Aeroport within the next one month. It will also be launched in the next three months at the other three airports. For this facility, a contract has been awarded to the Japanese company NEC which specializes in this work.
Passengers will save a lot of time
In the beginning, this service will be started on an optional basis. If someone wants a passenger, then they can use this facility. Otherwise, he will proceed in the process for boarding pass through traditional methods. With the introduction of the Facial Recognition facility, a lot of time will be left for the passengers.
