At the same time, Infosys apologized for the mistakes on the part of the company.

Nilekani wrote in the tweet, “The new e-filing portal will simplify the process and enhance the user experience. Sitharaman ji, we have seen some technical issues on the first day and are working to resolve them. Infosys regrets these initial glitches and expects the entire system to be fixed within this week.

Finance Minister had sought answer

The new portal was launched by the Income Tax Department on Monday night to ease the process of filing ITR and give quick refunds. But from the very beginning, users had to face a lot of problems in this. Therefore, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tagged the chairman of Infosys in a tweet and sought a reply from him. He wrote, “The much awaited e-filing portal 2.0 was launched last night at 20:45. I found many complaints and errors in my TL. Hope the quality of service being provided by @Infosys and @NandanNilekani will not disappoint us and our taxpayers. Ease of compliance should be our priority.”
