For this, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is giving special facility.
Locking of Aadhaar card is necessary when it is lost or lost. Because your fingerprint and other important information can be misused through Aadhaar. PAN card is also linked to Aadhaar. Also, this is also an important document in the bank’s KYC. In such a situation, bank accounts can also be empty if the Aadhaar card data is leaked. So lock it immediately.
Send SMS from registered number
To lock the Aadhaar card, you have to send a GETOTP SMS from your registered mobile number. After doing this, an OTP will come to your mobile number. This OTP will have to be re-written to the 1947 number by writing ‘LOCKUID Aadhaar Number’. As soon as you do this, your Aadhaar card will be locked. With this, no one will be able to use it without your permission. After this process, hackers will not be able to do Aadhaar verification. So that your base will be protected.
Can be unlocked if needed
After locking the Aadhaar card, if you are thinking how to use it again, do not take tension. Actually, the option to unlock Aadhaar card is also given by UIDAI. In this, you have to process the same way you used to lock the card. To unlock the Aadhaar cord, write GETOTP Aadhaar number from your registered mobile number and send it to 1947. Now after the OTP arrives, write it with the UNLOCKUID Aadhaar number and send it again to the 1947 number.
By doing so, your Aadhaar card will be unlocked.
Other facilities of Aadhaar card also online
In this phase of digitalization, the government is now gradually making most of the facilities related to Aadhaar cards online. Tenants have benefited greatly from this. Recently UIDAI has made the process of updating the address easier for the renters. Now they will not have to go to the Aadhaar center to change the address after changing the house. They can submit address changes by submitting a PDF copy of the rent agreement and other necessary documents online.
