There is a shortage in these states

38 crore vaccines are needed

Keeping in mind the current rate of first dose of COVID vaccination to 10.85 crore people in the country and 30 lakh vaccinations per day, we will require more than 38 crore vaccine doses to give two doses of vaccine to priority group people. “

Provision of subsidy will provide solution

It further said that the government needs to make provision for immediate and adequate grants and subsidies even for the manufacturers who are already developing or manufacturing covid vaccines in the country. On behalf of the industry, FICCI has assured the government of its full support to deal with this unprecedented crisis.
