'India massive brother to Sri Lanka': Namal Rajapaksa thanks India for humanitarian help

Former Sri Lankan cupboard Minister Namal Rajapaksa on Monday

Namal Rajapaksa, who’s the son of the previous Prime Minister
Mahinda Rajapaksa, mentioned that India has been an enormous brother to the

mentioned in a tweet.

India handed over a considerable amount of humanitarian help
consignment price over Rs 2 billion to the island nation which
reached Colombo on Sunday. The consignment includes 9,000 metric
tons of rice, and 50 metric tons of milk powder, coupled with over
25 metric tons of medication and different pharmaceutical provides.

The consignment will probably be distributed amongst a number of beneficiaries
throughout the nation by the Sri Lankan authorities, reported Colombo
Page. The beneficiaries embody Northern, Eastern, Central, and
Western provinces, protecting various sections of the society.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed
gratitude to the “people of India” for the help amidst the
prevalent financial disaster within the island nation.

“Sri Lanka right this moment obtained Rs 2 Billion price of humanitarian
help, together with milk powder, rice, and medicines from India. Our
honest gratitude to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Hon. @mkstalin
and the People of India for the help prolonged,” Sri Lankan PM
tweeted.
