The Income Tax Department will launch a new portal e-filing 2.0 for filling income tax details on June 7. According to the Income Tax Department, it will be easy to use through mobile and pre-filled ITR forms and easy facilities will be made available on it.
IT Department said in a tweet, Income Tax Department will launch a new e-filing portal http://incometax.gov.in on 7th June 2021. This portal will replace the existing http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
The new portal will have a new mobile app
The department has said that this new portal will also have a new mobile app on which the taxpayers will be able to access guidelines at every step through user manuals and video clips.
No facility will be available on the portal from June 1 to 6
The department has said that e-filing services will not be available from June 1 to 6 before the launch of the new portal. The department has suggested the taxpayers to apply before or after these dates, if they want to get any response or service.

Many benefits will be available in the new portal
The new portal will be equipped with new features in six categories and will also help taxpayers in faster issuance of refunds. Various assistance measures have also been taken for the convenience of tax payers in the new portal. Uploading and pending work will appear simultaneously on the new portal. If any work of taxpayers is stopped, then its information will also be found in one place.
It will be a free ITR preparation software that can be obtained online and offline simultaneously. If you have any question, you can also raise it here. If there is any problem related to ITR then you will be able to query it. Any taxpayer without any tax information will be able to do e-filing comfortably by entering minimum data.
