Instant PAN is a soft copy of the original PAN card ie e-PAN. This is also completely acceptable in government work. This can be achieved within 10 minutes of applying. This facility can be available to those who have an Aadhaar number and their mobile number is registered with Aadhaar.
application procedure
To apply for an Instant PAN, visit www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home. Click on the Instant PAN through Aadhaar option in “Quick Links” here.

Click on ‘Get New PAN’ here. This will open a new page. Fill in your Aadhaar number and captcha code here.
Now click on ‘Generate Aadhaar OTP’. The code will appear on the registered mobile number. Fill it
Now give information about your Aadhaar details. On completion of the process, the enrollment number will be generated. It will be of 15 digits.
After this, the message will come on the registered mobile number and email ID of the applicant, which will contain the enrollment number.
Once the PAN is allotted, the e-PAN can be downloaded. E-PAN will be in PDF format.
If your e-mail ID is registered with Aadhaar, the e-PAN will also be sent to you by e-mail.
You can also check status
If you want, you can check the status of PAN request. For this, OTP authentication will be required. Instant PAN is in digital format. For this, no fee is charged from the applicants. In this process, instant PAN is provided through Aadhaar based e-KYC.
