Both these schemes were started in 2015. Since coming to power, the Modi government has taken many important decisions keeping in mind the social security. Keeping in mind the direct benefit transfer, 42 crore bank accounts were opened across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. This made it easier for the government to benefit from any scheme and the problem of middlemen was removed.
