If you lose the Aadhaar card, you can apply for a duplicate copy of it on the portal of UIDAI. You can get it reprinted and get a hard copy sent to your home address.

Aadhar Card

From taking advantage of government schemes to banking related things, an Aadhaar card is often required. It tells about the identity of the person. But if your original Aadhaar card is lost and you are worried about it, then do not take tension. Because by completing some procedures you can get a duplicate copy of your Aadhaar from the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

For this, you will have to share some of your information, after verification of which a new copy of Aadhaar card will be issued to you by UIDAI. If you want a hard copy of this, you can get the Aadhaar card at home by paying the fixed fee from the government. Apart from this, you can also remove a digital copy of it from the website.

How to get Aadhar sitting at home

Know the Aadhaar card, but to get a new copy of it, you have to login on the official portal of UIDAI. Here you have to click on ‘Get Aadhaar’ section. While doing so a new page will open. Now fill the information of your Aadhaar number (UID), registration number (EID) or virtual number (VID). After this enter the captcha code and click on ‘Send OTP’ option. After doing this, one time password i.e. OTP will come on your registered mobile. Now fill in this 6 digit OTP. After doing this, a page will open in which you will be asked some questions, whose answer you will have to fill. Now the option of ‘Verify And Download’ will be seen, click on it. If your request is found correct by UIDAI, a digital copy of it will be released in some time. Which you can download online.

Reprint is available

If you want to reprint hardcopy of Aadhaar, then this facility is also provided by UIDAI. For this, you have to go to www.uidai.gov.in and go to ‘My Aadhaar section’. Click on the ‘Order Aadhaar Reprint’ option given here. This will open a new page. Enter your Aadhaar number or VID and security code here. If your mobile number is registered, then click on ‘Send OTP’. If the mobile number is not registered, then click in the box of non-registered mobile number and enter the mobile number. After this, click on Send OTP. After doing this, OTP will be filled in, and click on Agri in terms and conditions. Next will be the preview show of Aadhaar Reprint. By checking this, you can see if there is any mistake in Aadhaar. If all the information is correct then you can click on reprint it. However, preview is not available for non-registered mobile number holders.

Delivery will be in 15 days

By checking the option of reprint, you can get a hard copy of Aadhaar sent to your home address. For this, you have to pay the fees fixed by the government. Its amount is about 50 rupees. You can make this payment with the help of Credit Card / Debit Card / UPI or NetBanking. After doing this, your re-printed Aadhaar card from UIDAI will be sent to your address by speed post. This process takes about 15 days.
