Starting next week, the life style of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is going to be historic changes. Starting May 10, LIC employees will work only 5 days a week. Now every Saturday there will be a holiday in LIC office. On this, a notification was issued by the central government on 15 April, under which a public holiday has been declared on Saturday.
Talking about new work culture, LIC office will open five days a week from 10 May, from 10 am to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday. LIC also provides online facility to its customers. Apart from this, in view of the inconvenience of its customers in the midst of Corona crisis, LIC has announced some relaxation in the terms related to the settlement of the claim.

Optional certificate will work
The company said in a press note on Friday that in the current situation, where the death occurred in a hospital, in order to expeditiously settle the death claim, in lieu of the death certificate received from the Municipal Corporation, alternative proofs of death Is recognized.
These certificates will be valid
Under the new rule of LIC, if there is a delay in getting the death certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation, then the death certificate issued by the government / ESI / Armed Forces / Corporate Hospitals will be accepted for the claim. These should include details of the discharge, details of the death of the insured, date and time details. Apart from this, the sign of LIC’s class 1 officer or development officer working for 10 years will be required before submitting these documents. Whereas in other cases death certificate of the metropolitan municipality will be required.
Documents can be deposited in the nearest LIC branch
Keeping in mind the safety of customers in the Corona epidemic, LIC has also given relief to submit other documents including death certificate for claim settlement. Now applicants can visit any of their nearest LIC branch and document documents. Similarly, for the date of life certificate for annuity, exemption has been given till 31 October 2021. Life certificates sent via email will also be accepted.
