Government employees of this state may get double salary in Corona crisis, Commission sends report to CM

The Sixth Pay Commission has sent a report to the CM of Punjab. In which there is a demand for increasing the salary of the employees and doubling the other allowances.

Sixth Pay Commission recommendation to increase salary

Due to the Corona epidemic, the DA of central employees has been stuck since last year. This time too, the expectation seems low, but in this period of crisis, the Punjab Government can give a gift of increased salary to the employees. The Sixth Pay Commission (6th Pay Commission) of the state government has recommended to double the salary of the employees. For this, a report has also been sent by the Commission to CM Captain Amarinder Singh.

According to media reports, the state government can increase the salary and pension of employees on average by 20 percent. At the same time, the Commission has recommended to double it. In the report, the minimum wage of employees has been increased from Rs. 6950 to Rs. 18000 per month. Soon the government can hear good news on this.

Demand to increase other allowances also

The Commission has recommended to increase the other major allowances from 1.5 times to 2 times. It is said that the report was submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh recently, the report will be presented to the Cabinet this month for further action. So that detailed study can be done. On the basis of this, instructions will be given to the Finance Department. It is expected that a decision will be taken on 1 July.

Recommendation to double gratuity including medical allowance

According to a report by The Tribune, a significant increase in pension and DA has been proposed by the Commission, according to a spokesperson of the CM office. Apart from this, it has been recommended to double the fixed medical allowance and death-cum-retirement gratuity under the Sixth Pay Commission. These benefits were also demanded for pensioners with employees, instead of Rs. 1,000 per month, Rs. 2 thousand. Apart from this, a proposal has been sent to increase the maximum limit of death-cum-retirement gratuity from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
