The Adani Group has purchased 48 cryogenic tanks capable of carrying 780 tonnes of liquid oxygen.

Amid the outbreak of the Corona virus in the country, the Adani Group has said that it has put all its resources to contain the epidemic, including staff and logistics to ports and airports. The group said that it has contributed to medical oxygen and transportable cryogenic containers as well as health infrastructure.
A spokesman for the group said that the Adani Group has purchased 48 cryogenic tanks capable of carrying 780 tonnes of liquid oxygen. The spokesperson said, “As the second wave of COVID arrived in India, the Adani Group began to leverage its overseas contacts to ensure the supply of vital essentials such as medical oxygen and transportable cryogenic containers.” The group purchased 48 cryogenic tanks from leading manufacturers in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and UAE.
More than 2.38 lakh people died
Some of these large cryogenic tanks were sent through the group’s Mundra port in Gujarat, while others were brought into the country with the help of the Indian Air Force. After the death of a record 4,187 patients from COVID-19 in the country, the death toll has risen to 2,38,270, while the number of infections has increased to 2,18,92,676 after 4,01,078 new cases.
