If you use the same type of login details (ID and password) on all e-commerce platforms, then be careful. Cyber experts have warned Flipkart users of a major threat. According to a security expert, an alleged leaked database could potentially lead to unauthorized transactions from Flipkart customers’ accounts, who used the grocery platform BigBasket with their user IDs and passwords.

According to expert Rajasekhar Rajgharia, cyber criminals are selling customers’ email addresses and passwords from BigBasket’s allegedly leaked databases that match the accounts of e-commerce firms Flipkart and Amazon.

Cyber Criminal selling login details

The cyber expert said, “It seems that some people are selling BigBasket login details as a password combination of Flipkart data. People are using the same login details for all websites. Almost all emails are matched with BigBasket DB (database). In this case, you change your Flipkart password. ” He also said that Flipkart should secure its account. However, he said that when the browser changes, Amazon sends OTP for login.

Rajaharia said, “One can enter VPN / TOR from any leaked email and password from anywhere via Flipkart. Please make 2FA (two-factor authentication) mandatory for all accounts. “

Rajasekhar has also posted details of the account being sold on Telegram.

Flipkart replied on data security

When contacted by Flipkart spokesperson, he said that the group customer is fully focused on maintaining data security and safety and has strong information security systems and controls. Spokesperson said, “To create awareness on fraudulent activities, we conduct awareness campaigns on various media and social channels, to make customers aware of better things for secure online experience and to get their account from unscrupulous cybercriminals To be safe. “

However, there was no immediate response to queries sent to Amazon and BigBasket.
