Flipkart has tied up with the Adani Group to strengthen logistics and data center capabilities. This will benefit small and middle class businessmen.
Flipkart and Adani Group Deals
Walmart-owned e-commerce company Flipkart has joined hands with Adani Group on Monday. A statement was issued on behalf of the company saying that this partnership has been done to strengthen the logistics and data center capabilities. This will provide direct employment to about 2,500 people. Also, small and medium businessmen will get help.
The company said that with this agreement Flipkart will work closely with Adani Logistics Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Ports Limited and Special Economic Zone Limited. This will help strengthen the supply chain infrastructure. This will enable faster services to the customers.
Flipkart will set up third data center
Flipkart will soon set up its third data center. This center will be set up in Adani Connex’s Chennai. It is a joint venture between Adani Connex, Edgeconnex and Adani Enterprises Limited. However, the company did not give much information about its financial details.
Adani Group to provide 5.34 lakh sq ft warehouse
Under this partnership with Flipkart, Adani Logistics Limited will build a warehouse with an area of 5.34 lakh sq ft in its upcoming logistics hub in Mumbai. Which will be leased to Flipkart to meet the growing demand for e-commerce in Western India. This center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies. It is expected that it will be operational by the third quarter of 2022. This center will have the capacity to keep one crore units available for sale.
