Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that his government will increase the number of normal and ICU beds in the national capital in view of the increasing cases of corona and these beds will remain a reserve for corona patients. At the same time, he said that he is keeping an eye on the growing cases of Corona and all necessary steps will be taken. The Chief Minister tweeted that in view of the increasing cases of corona in Delhi, the number of general and ICU beds is being increased in some hospitals. This will improve the availability of beds. At the same time, we said that we are keeping a close watch and will take all necessary steps. There is nothing to worry about, but follow all precautions.
Earlier on Monday, when asked about the shortage of ICU beds of private hospitals in the capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain had said that it would be reviewed. It also said that many ICU beds and ventilators are available in all government hospitals in Delhi.
