Billion dollar club: There are a total of 22 Gujarati companies in the club with a billion dollar market cap this year.

The market cap of 22 companies of Gujarat crossed 1 billion dollars.

It has been claimed in several reports that the corona epidemic has increased the scope of poverty and wealth. Due to this epidemic, the condition of the poor became miserable while the condition of the rich became stronger. According to the report of Times of India, the size of the club of billion dollar company in Gujarat increased to 22 during the Corona period. In April 2020, the number of companies with a billion dollar market cap (more than 7500 crores) was 17 which has increased to 22.

The stock market is once again under pressure due to Corona’s new wave, but after June 2020, it is still dominating. Due to this, there has been a lot of jump in the market cap of companies. According to the report, five Gujarati companies this year – Deepak Nitrite Limited, Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Limited, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Symphony Limited and Aris Life Sciences Limited, have joined the club with a market cap of $ 1 billion. Of these, Deepak Nitrite and Ratnamani Metals have joined this club for the first time, while the other three companies have re-entered the club.

Six companies of Adani Group are in this list

The Adani Group dominates this elite group. Six companies of Adani Group are listed on the stock market and all companies have a market cap of over $ 1 billion. Barring Adani Power and Adani Transmission, the market cap of the remaining four is over 1 lakh crore. The club includes companies such as Cadila Healthcare, Zydus Wellness, Torrent Pharma, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, besides the Adani Group of Companies.
