bp to scale back carbon footprint at Shah Deniz

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. SOCAR-KBR joint
enterprise has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED),
turnaround engineering, and procurement assist companies contract
by BP Exploration for the Shah Deniz Alpha (SDA) platform in
Azerbaijan, Trend reviews citing KBR.

Reportedly, this mission will considerably scale back SDA’s general
carbon footprint and enhance operational effectivity, offering a
sturdy, long-term, high-availability energy provide. SOCAR-KBR will
be answerable for the FEED companies for decommissioning the
current 5 predominant energy turbines on the SDA platform. They will
then create an influence provide from the KBR-designed Shah Deniz Bravo
platform by means of subsea cables and a back-up energy generator.

“KBR has been working within the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey area
since 1993, which provides us unequalled experience with on- and
off-shore greenfield and brownfield belongings,” stated Jay Ibrahim,
president of KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions. “Our SOCAR-KBR
three way partnership permits us to mix KBR’s confirmed instruments, methods,

This mission shall be delivered from SOCAR-KBR’s Baku workplace to
