IRDAI Guidelines: A header will be allotted to the insurance companies registering. With this, an identity will be given to companies to ensure the identity of their calls and messages.

Insurance is big news for policy holders. Indian insurance sector regulator IRDAI has taken a big decision to protect the insured from fraud. IRDAI has directed all the insurance companies to register their message format with the telecom service providers. Insurance companies will have a unique template, through which customers will be able to identify the real message.
Its purpose is to protect the insured from fraud. Through a unique template, you will be able to know that the message sent to you by your insurance company or whether that message is fake and was not used to make a victim of fraud. Telecom regulator TRAI (TRAI) has also directed banks, insurance companies and other institutions to register templates for message service.
… So that you do not get fraudulent messages
The motive behind this decision is to stop unwanted and fraudulent messages received by insurance policy holders. Policy holders often get spam calls and messages, which not only bothers them, but they also fall prey to fraud at times. In view of similar problems, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued these guidelines.
Insurance companies will get unique headers
According to IRDAI, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had prepared and notified a regulatory framework in July 2018 regarding unwanted calls and messages. According to this, all the major institutions including banking and insurance company are required to register themselves with the respective telecom service providers.
A header will be allotted to the insurance companies registering. With this, an identity will be given to companies to ensure the identity of their calls and messages. Through this, you will be able to know whether the message you are getting or the message you receive is authentic or not!
Registration required by April 5
IRDAI has given time till April 5 for insurance companies to register with the respective telecom service providers. After registration, it is also asked to inform. Let us know that in the last few years, people have become upset with unwanted calls and messages.
People get many types of fake calls and messages in the name of insurance companies and people are not able to decide on the basis of numbers only whether the call or message they have received is correct or not. Regulators like TRAI and IRDAI have taken such steps to get rid of this.
