RBI told- what to do
The Reserve Bank of India has given a way to get back the missing money from your account. RBI says that if there is any unauthorized transaction, then even after that your full money can be recovered. However, caution is necessary for this. RBI says that by giving information of any such wrong transaction to the bank immediately, you can avoid loss.
According to the Reserve Bank (RBI) – ‘If you have suffered loss due to unauthorized electronic transactions and if you inform your bank immediately, then your liability may be limited, but also zero.’ It is clear that if there is any illegal transaction in your account, then inform it immediately to your bank. You can avoid giving information without delay. By doing this you can get all your money.
After all, how will full money be returned?
Now you must be thinking how to get the money back… Even if you complain about withdrawing money from the bank account, then from where will the bank return the money! Actually, insurance policy is taken by banks to avoid the danger of such cyber fraud. In such a situation, the bank will tell all the information about the fraud with you directly to the insurance company and then take the insurance money from there to compensate your loss. To avoid such cyber fraud, insurance companies are giving direct coverage to the people.
Complain within 3 days of being a victim of fraud
If you are a victim of banking fraud then you will have to complain to the bank about this within 3 days. Only then you will not suffer any harm. The RBI has said that after giving information to the bank within the stipulated time, the amount withdrawn fraudulently from the customer’s account will be returned to his bank account within 10 days. RBI has also said that if the fraudulent report of the bank account is reported after 4 to 7 days, then the customer will have to bear a loss of up to Rs 25,000.
You can also get insurance
If you want, you can also get yourself insured to avoid cyber fraud. Companies like Bajaj Allianz and HDFC Argo provide such insurance. Under this insurance, if there is a cyber fraud in your account then you will get your money back. Due to online transactions, the scope of insurance to avoid cyber fraud has also increased a lot these days. Explain that the Reserve Bank has issued new guidelines on customer safety, limited liability of customers in unauthorized electronic banking transactions.
