Azerpost talks mail deliveries between Azerbaijan, Türkiye amid current quake

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. No issues in
mailings between Azerbaijan and earthquake-hit Türkiye have been
noticed within the final three days, Azerpost LLC informed Trend.

According to the Azerpost, all shipments are carried out in a
well timed method and there are not any issues after the devastating
earthquake in Türkiye.

An earthquake with a magnitude of seven.7 hit southeastern Türkiye
on Feb. 6, 2023. The earthquake occurred at a depth of seven
kilometers within the Pazarcik area of Kahramanmaras Province. The
provinces of Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, Malatya, Adiyaman,
Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, and Kahramanmaras have been subjected to
extreme destruction.

The quake’s epicenter was situated 26 km away from town of
Gaziantep with a inhabitants of about 1.06 million.

Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority mentioned that
three extra earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4-6.6 rocked Gaziantep
province in south-eastern Türkiye. As a results of the earthquake
that hit Türkiye, robust tremors have been additionally felt in Syria, Lebanon,
Egypt, and Cyprus.

According to the most recent knowledge, because of the earthquake,
6,234 individuals have been killed, 37,011 individuals have been injured, and 5,894
buildings have been destroyed.
