BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Phone talks between
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun
Bayramov and European Union Special Representative for the South
Caucasus and the disaster in Georgia Toivo Klaar on August 3,
Trend studies citing the Azerbaijani Foreign
Ministry.
During the phone dialog, the events mentioned the
present state of affairs within the South Caucasus and the latest
tensions.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov delivered to the eye of the
interlocutor the truth that in latest days, provocations have been
dedicated by Armenia each within the border areas of the 2 states and
on the territory of Azerbaijan, the place the Russian peacekeeping
contingent is briefly deployed, and on August 3, on account of
intensive shelling of the positions of the Azerbaijani military items
within the course of the Lachin district, members of unlawful
Armenian armed teams killed a serviceman of the Azerbaijani military.
It was emphasised that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are taking
enough response measures to navy provocations of their
sovereign territories.
The Foreign Minister careworn that these provocations are a
flagrant violation of the tripartite statements signed by the
leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, in addition to the
statements between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia mediated
by the President of the Council of the European Union Charles
Michel, and undermine mediation efforts. Bayramov famous that,
opposite to the obligations arising from the tripartite assertion
of November 10, 2020, to date the Armenian armed forces and unlawful
Armenian armed teams haven’t been utterly withdrawn from
Azerbaijani territories, which is unacceptable. It was famous that
Armenia’s failure to meet its obligations is the principle explanation for
stress within the area.
