Assam Assembly Elections 2021: Election Commission notice to 8 newspapers on BJP advertisement

Earlier, the Assam unit of the Congress gave a complaint against Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP national president JP Nadda, state BJP chief Ranjit Kumar Das and eight leading newspapers who allegedly published advertisements in the “news format”. “And in which it was claimed that the party would win all the seats which were voted on March 27.

Complaint was lodged in Dispur police station

The complaint was lodged at Dispur police station on Sunday night. The state Congress on Sunday complained against the publication of advertisements to the Chief Electoral Officer of Assam and the All India Congress Committee to the Election Commission. It urged immediate action against the BJP and newspapers.
