Names of people like Azim Premji, Mukesh Ambani, Shiv Nadar are included in this list. According to Hurun India report, in the year 2020, 90 largest donors donated a total of 9324 crore rupees.

According to the Edelgive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2020 published in Business Insider, the number of people who donated more than 100 million has doubled in the last two years. Their number increased to 80 in 2020. The average age for this list is 66 years. Bipi Bansal, co-founder of Plipkart, is the first philanthropist under the age of 40 to join this list.

Azim Premji donated 7904 crores

Azim Premji donated 7904 crores, the highest in India. He spent the most in the field of education. The second number is Shiv Nadar and Family of HCL and he spent 795 crores in philanthropy works. He also spent the most in the field of education. Mukesh Ambani, head of Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest, spent 458 crores in philanthropy and mainly in disaster relief. Mukesh Ambani stood at number three in terms of donations.

Birla donated 276 crores

Kumaramangalam Birla 276 crores, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta 215 crores, Ajay Piramal & Family of Piramal Enterprises 196 crores, Nandan Nilekani of Infosys 159 crores, Hinduja Brendarshan 133 crores of Hinduja Group, Gautam Adani 88 crores, Sudhir Mehta of Torrent Pharmaceuticals and Sameer Mehta donated 82 crores.
