Air India has decided to vaccinate after a stern warning from Air India Pilot Association ICPA. The pilot union had said that unless all employees, especially the flying crew, do not have the corona vaccine, they will not fly the aircraft. For this, the pilot association has given the operational director of Air India, R.S. A letter was sent to Sandhu.

It was written in the letter that the flying crew has no healthcare support, nor any insurance, and large scale salaries of employees are being cut. In such a situation, we cannot endanger the lives of our pilots without vaccination. Referring to the problems of the pilots and crew, the Pilot’s Union said that our financial situation is already deteriorating, yet we are making provisions to provide coverage to our colleagues and their families because of our inadvertently going to work There is a risk of the virus reaching the family.

According to the ICPA, if Air India fails to set up a vaccination camp for flying crews over the age of 18 on priority, then we will stop work. At the moment many crew members have been found to be COVID positive and are struggling to get oxygen cylinders.
