What is this insurance?
Up to 20 lakh rupees free insurance is also available at your ATM. According to a Money 9 report, it is Accidental Death Insurance, which benefits more than 40 crore account holders. It has been named the Complimentary Insurance Cover. It can be claimed in case of accidental death of any account holder. If you talk about SBI free insurance, up to 10 lakh in road accident and up to 20 lakh in air accident, death insurance is available.
Who gets insurance for how much?
Actually, it depends on your SBI ATM card which insurance cover you will get and also your card should be active. Apart from this, the condition is that the card must be used within 90 days before the date of the account holder’s accident. Whether it was to withdraw money from the ATM or that card was used for any online transaction.
Which card has so much benefit?
– If you have SBI Gold (MasterCard / Visa), then you get death insurance of 2 lakh in road accident and 4 lakh in air accident.
– If you have SBI Platinum (MasterCard / Visa), then you get insurance of 5 lakhs and 10 lakhs.
– If you have SBI Pride (Business Debit) (MasterCard / Visa), then you get insurance of 2 lakhs and 4 lakhs.
– If you have SBI Premium (Business Debit) (MasterCard / Visa), then you get insurance of 5 lakhs and 10 lakhs.
– If you have SBI Visa Signature / MasterCard Debit Card, then you get 10 lakh cover in road accident and 20 lakh on death in air accident.
