PF New Rule: If your Aadhar card is not linked with Universal Account Number then you will suffer huge loss. So complete this work as soon as possible.
This rule has come into force from 1 June 2021.
EPFO New Rules: There has been a change in the rules regarding Provident Fund from the month of June. Under the new rule, if your UAN number is not linked with Aadhaar, then you will suffer a big loss. A notification has also been issued by EPFO regarding this. According to this notification, it has become necessary to link UAN and Aadhaar under section 142 of the Social Security Code 2020 with effect from June 1, 2021.
If your Aadhaar number is not linked with Universal Account Number ie UAN, then the employer contribution will not be able to be deposited. Apart from this, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has also changed the rules regarding electronic challan cum return ie ECR filing. Under this, the employer can file ECR only for those members whose Aadhaar is linked to their Provident Fund Universal Account Number. If the Aadhaar and UAN of a member are not linked, then the employer can file a separate ECR for that.
Advance and insurance benefits will not be available
If your Aadhaar is not linked with Universal Account Number, then you will suffer many more losses. Under this, you will not get the benefit of the facility of advance, as well as you will be deprived of taking the benefit of insurance. The government has made it necessary to link Aadhaar and PAN with your bank account, PPF account and EPF account under KYC.
If you have not linked aadhar then hurry up
In such a situation, if you have not yet linked your Aadhaar and Universal Account Number, then complete this work as soon as possible. For this, one has to go to the EPFO website and complete the further process. After the Aadhaar linking process is completed, your employer will submit his contribution for the old period. However, for this the employer may have to pay a penalty.
