BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. There aren’t any
noticed issues with cash transfers from Azerbaijan to Türkiye,
Azerbaijan’s Central Bank informed Trend.

Information lately was unfold on social media concerning the
issues with cash transfers from Azerbaijan to Türkiye. The
sturdy earthquake that stroke Türkiye on February 6 is indicated as
the primary cause for the issues. It was famous that it’s
unattainable to conduct any transactions with financial institution playing cards.

However, in keeping with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, there are
no issues with cash transfers.

An earthquake with a magnitude of seven.7 hit southeastern
Türkiye on Feb. 6, 2023. The earthquake occurred at a depth of
seven kilometers within the Pazarcik area of Kahramanmaras Province.
The provinces of Hatay, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, Malatya,
Adiyaman, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, and Kahramanmaras have been
subjected to extreme destruction.

The quake’s epicenter was situated 26 km away from the
metropolis of Gaziantep with a inhabitants of about 1.06 million.

Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority
mentioned that three extra earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4-6.6 rocked
Gaziantep province in south-eastern Türkiye. As a results of the
earthquake that hit Türkiye, sturdy tremors have been additionally felt in
Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Cyprus.

According to the most recent information, because of the
earthquake, 6,234 individuals have been killed, 37,011 individuals have been injured,
and 5,894 buildings have been destroyed.
