BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. The share of
girls entrepreneurs amongst personal entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan has
reached 22 %, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Small
and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) Orkhan Mammadov stated
on the opening of the International Women’s Forum on Social
Entrepreneurship, Trend experiences.
According to Mammadov, 49 % of the economically energetic
inhabitants of the nation are girls.
“Encouraging girls to self-employment and entrepreneurship, and
supporting the event of ladies’s entrepreneurship are amongst
the priorities of the company. In accordance with the mandate of the
company, we’re implementing varied measures to assist the
improvement of social entrepreneurship and girls’s
entrepreneurship,” he famous.
“With the assist of the German International Cooperation
Organization (GIZ), research have been carried out in 2021 on the
improvement of social entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and
suggestions have been developed,” the board chairman stated.
Besides, in keeping with him, to be able to promote social
entrepreneurship, SME improvement facilities working in varied
areas of Azerbaijan held quite a few trainings and webinars on
related matters.
“In whole, about 4,000 girls entrepreneurs and girls who wish to
begin an entrepreneurial exercise benefited the trainings offered
by these facilities in 2022,” he added.
The International Women’s Forum on Social Entrepreneurship is
being held in Baku on February 8-9. Its organizers are Mediaost
Events und Kommunikation GmbH, Association of Women
Entrepreneurship Development in Azerbaijan and Center for
International Development of Social and Women Entrepreneurship.
