Comparing the figures of Startup India in India, there are only 8 million women entrepreneurs out of total enterprises and more than 50 million male entrepreneurs on the other hand. From these figures, we can find out how a small number of women entrepreneurs exist in our country. Because of the women empowerment and entrepreneurship of women, many such schemes have been implemented by the Government of India through which women entrepreneurs can be seen everywhere in the startup ecosystem of India. Women too will not only work within the four walls of the houses, but women will also be able to start their own business, without any financial interruption.

Apart from the Government of India, bank branches have also made special loans available to give a new flight to the women, so that they can start the initial business very easily. Today we will tell you what new schemes have been made by the government for women entrepreneurs, which will promote women empowerment and start their new startups, so let’s know about these new schemes –

1. Annapurna Scheme

Annapurna scheme was started by the Government of India on 31 October 2015 from Bamori village in Jaipur district. Under the Annapurna Scheme, women entrepreneurs can set up a food catering platform to sell food items like packaged food, snacks, etc. Under this scheme, a loan amount of fifty thousand rupees will be given to those women entrepreneurs by the State Bank of Mysore and which will have to be paid in monthly installments of 36 months. This loan will be given to fulfill the primary needs of women entrepreneurs, that is, to buy utensils and other equipment. The interest rate of this loan will be determined according to the market rate and a woman entrepreneur needs a guarantor to get this loan because this loan will not be given to a woman entrepreneur without a guarantor. The initiative taken by the Government of India is a very good step for budding women entrepreneurs.

2. Oriental Mahila Vikas Yojana Scheme

Women who hold 51% of the share capital either individually or jointly due to a proprietary concern, are given loans by the Oriental Bank of Commerce. Under this scheme, loans ranging from 10 lakh to ₹ 2500000 are given to women entrepreneurs in small scale industries and no type of guarantor is required to avail of this loan. If the woman entrepreneur wants to repay her loan, then her period is 7 years. Under this, a 2% loan interest rate concession is also given to women entrepreneurs.

3. Mudra Yojana Scheme For Women

Under this scheme operated by the Government of India, women who want to start their own business from small enterprises, such as tuition centers, tailoring units or beauty parlors, are given loans without the need of any lateral guarantor. You will also be given a Mudra card at the time of granting the loan and this Mudra card will work in the same way as your credit card and will be limited to 10% of the loan amount. You can avail the Mudra scheme through three people, which is as follows –

Kishore – In this loan amount is between 50000 to 5 lakh rupees. It can be availed by people with established ventures.
