Timios is a Bangalore based startup that offers an array of healthy snacks and age specific food products for kids and babies. Founded by brother sister duo, Aswani Chaitanya and Hima Bindu in 2016, Timios was founded with a two fold goal in mind – one, to provide a wholesome and nutritional alternative to regular snacks that are currently available in the market, two, to provide age appropriate nutrition to children.

As per a study conducted by the Centre for Science and Environment in 2016, 93% of children between the age group of 9-17 eat packaged food. The study also showed that 56% of the children consume packaged sweet products like chocolates and ice-creams more than twice a week and 53% consume packaged salty food like chips. Children today end up consuming snacks that are not suitable for their age and in quantities that are not ideal for a snack. There’s no doubt that all parents want their children to eat healthy food. However, with busy lifestyles and increasing double income households, it’s difficult for parents to ensure balanced meals and healthy snacks every time. This is where healthy and nutrition rich snacks can help ease the burden on parents. Timios was started with an aim to create healthy packaged snacks that are age appropriate, completely natural and contain low sugar and salt content.

With over 8+ categories of products, Timios offers finger food, munchies, energy bars, biscuits, probiotic bites and much more. Very recently the brand forayed into the baby food category with the launch of ‘Made to Order’ Porridge range for babies and toddlers. The Timios Porridge range is manufactured in a cleanroom processing unit, a first of its kind processing facility in the baby food category. The cleanroom used for manufacturing the porridge range is designed to maintain an extremely clean environment that filters dust, airborne organisms and vaporized particles to provide the most hygienic food products. Each product is processed only upon receiving the customer’s order. In addition to this, all the ingredients used are 100% Organic, USDA and India Organic Certified. These ingredients are further processed using traditional methods where they are sprouted, roasted and ground to retain the nutritional value of the ingredients.

In the last one year, Timios has served 2.5 Lakh+ customers. The products are available on their website, online platforms like Amazon, Bigbasket, Firstcry and Flipkart. With 500+ orders every day, the company also sells its products in over 350 stores (organic stores and kids/baby stores). In addition to this, Timios has recently launched a Whatsapp store to sell directly to consumers.

Timios is funded by MTR Foods Pvt Ltd. They have recently raised Pre Series A funding led by Rangsons Technologies LLP, part of NR Group. The round also saw participation from Paipal Ventures LLP.
