Risk, innovations, creativity, experiments and hard work- What is the first thing that comes in your mind after reading these words? A startup or maybe just a successful organization? There is no doubt in saying that mature and well-settled organizations are a role model for all startups. There are a lot of things to be learned from startups, especially a zeal and enthusiasm to learn and grow.

We have to agree that today’s new products and services are being rendered obsolete more quickly than any other well-established organizations. It has become the nature of the market to stay ahead. An organization should be adventurous and entrepreneurial in its thinking and more nimble in executing new strategies and driving an entrepreneurial culture.

Here’s a list of cultural you can learn from startups:

1. Investing in The Latest Technology To Fuel Agility

There are few terms such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning and advanced robotics that people think are the assets for IT team only, but, practically speaking every innovation can be supported in some way by these rapidly advancing technologies. Things like 3D printers can help people test an idea and its execution, in real-time, before a prototype is built and potentially sent back from some remote locale.

2. A Workplace Design That Shows Trust and Understanding To its Employees

A creative mind may function slowly and bold risk-taking ideas can hit that mind quite less when it’s not free to pursue that idea. Every successful organization’s employees shouldn’t be worried that their every move is being scrutinized, and neither should it be on bright employees and on-demand talent. Studies say that when equality, transparency, and visibility are embedded in the environment, people become more engaged and empowered to do their best performance of work. Established companies can inspire entrepreneurial thinking by giving the freedom to choose from a variety of functional work environments, based on the task at hand.

3. Appreciation To Feedbacks and New Ideas At All Levels

Great ideas can come from anywhere, be it any department or any at any level of experience. The managers and employees at a higher level can actively encourage innovation by creating a clear platform for sharing new thoughts, and also by making themselves accessible for constructive feedback. This will help all other employees at all levels of the organization to understand that outside-the-box thinking isn’t just worthy of on-the-job time, it’s desired.

4. A Comfy Workplace and Culture

We have to agree that every time it takes just a fresh perspective and an inspiring environment to help come out with a new idea and think, or inspire a different tactic to an old problem. That comfy chair and all-day eateries might add a lot moiré than what we think. That’s one more thing to learn from startups. Flex spaces and co-working are becoming new networking models for businesses, including options with third-party providers like WeWork or Carr Workplaces—or even in-house co-working spaces, as we’ve seen with Honeywell, IBM, Nike, and Microsoft. Co-working spaces provide a social outlet specifically designed to facilitate the flow of ideas and new ways of thinking that is more than a different physical setting.
